Learning Support for Foreign Children “Wakatake”
About Staff
About Us
The main volunteer staff are student volunteers, working adult volunteers, and staff from NPO YOU-I (including interpreters). *University professors and staff may also come.
Many of the student volunteers are students majoring in international exchange, international understanding, and Japanese language education at universities in Ishikawa. They not only help with studies and Japanese language lessons, but also play with the children and talk with them; they are just like really kind older brothers and sisters.
The working adult volunteers are non-student adults. They include people from the Kanazawa Institute of Voluntary Service, people who are good at English, people who are good at teaching, and more. They all work hard for the children.
NPO YOU-I is a non-profit organisation whose main activities are supporting foreigners living in Ishikawa, providing translation and interpretation services, participating in events, etc. Among its members are people who have worked in children's education and as interpreters.
